Fabulous Facades with Gloria Loughman
The word facade means the ‘face’ of outward appearance of a building.
In this class, we are going to recreate a facade of a building in fabric. The building can be modern or old, a public building, a private home, a shed, a sky scrapper or a church. There are so many wonderful buildings to inspire us.
After looking at a number of colour schemes participants can then decide to use a very different palette or stay with the original colour scheme for their own design. As part of the construction technique we will look at the layers of the building and construct each layer separately. Main features will be outlined with a thin dark line to create a more graphic image.
This a two day workshop with a materials list.
Tea/Coffee, snacks and light lunch included in class cost.
